What is a venture studio?

A venture studio originates companies internally: the studio generates ideas, builds founding teams around them, funds the earliest work, and takes a large founding equity stake — often 20–50%, far above an accelerator's single digits.

The model trades founder upside for de-risked company creation. It suits repeat operators and thesis-driven building; founders joining a studio company should price the unusual cap table into their expectations for later rounds.
