What is a 13F filing?

Form 13F is the quarterly holdings disclosure required of institutional managers with over $100M in US-listed equities. It reveals positions in public stocks — including the post-IPO holdings of venture firms that keep distributed shares.

13Fs show long equity positions only, with a 45-day lag; they are a window into how venture firms handle public positions after their companies list.
