X1 develops software that lets people and organizations find and act on information in place, wherever it resides, for legal, compliance, governance, investigatory and productivity purposes. The enterprise platform performs search and targeted collection across enterprise data sources without moving or duplicating the data, using real-time in-place indexing. X1 Search lets individual users search emails, chats, attachments, local and cloud files, SharePoint documents and Microsoft 365 data from a single interface. It runs on Windows, with Windows Snapdragon (ARM) processors not supported. The company also publishes news and blog content on topics including AI in-place classification for information governance, enterprise search as a driver of AI token cost, and court decisions relating to search terms and Microsoft Teams data.
