Company profile

researched Aug 2026

Studio MinaLima is a London-based multi-disciplinary design studio made up of designers, illustrators, product developers and other creatives working for the entertainment and publishing industries. Its output spans highly illustrated and interactive books, graphic prop design for film, collectible product ranges and large-scale immersive experiences. The studio's founders and directors, Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima, began collaborating in 2001 to create the graphic universe of the Harry Potter film series for Warner Bros., and formalised the partnership as Studio MinaLima in 2009.

Beyond commissioned design work, the studio operates House of MinaLima, a gallery-and-shop format that presents its archive of graphic work within a narrative, immersive retail environment with a calendar of rotating exhibits. The London flagship opened on Greek Street in Soho in 2016 and relocated to Wardour Street in 2020. Additional House of MinaLima stores and pop-ups, past and present, have operated at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Tokyo, the Harry Potter flagship store in New York, the Warner Bros. Studio Tour in Leavesden, Universal Orlando Resort, Seoul and Paju in South Korea, Galerie Gallimard in Paris, Osaka in Japan and São Paulo in Brazil.

Production and fulfilment are handled through The Printorium in South West London, which manufactures the studio's hand-crafted fine art prints in close coordination with the studio and serves as a distribution hub for House of MinaLima products sold to customers internationally. Beginning in a shed in Miraphora Mina's garden, the Printorium now produces more than 16,000 fine art prints a year.

Founding story

Miraphora Mina graduated in Theatre Design from Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design in London in 1987, and Eduardo Lima graduated in Visual Communications from Pontifical Universidade Catolica in Rio de Janeiro in 1997. The two began working together in 2001, creating the graphic style and graphic universe for the Harry Potter film series produced by Warner Bros. Motivated by the collaboration, they founded their own design studio in 2009 to produce design and illustration for the entertainment and publishing industries, naming it Studio MinaLima.

Business model

The studio combines client-commissioned creative services for film, entertainment and publishing companies with a direct-to-consumer business selling illustrated books, fine art prints and collectible products through House of MinaLima galleries and shops and an online store.

Revenue derives from design commissions for entertainment and publishing clients, book projects with publishers, and retail sales of fine art prints, books and products through physical galleries, shops, pop-ups and e-commerce.

Traction

The Printorium produces over 16,000 fine art prints a year and distributes House of MinaLima products internationally. The London flagship has been followed by multiple House of MinaLima stores and pop-ups in Asia, North America, Europe and South America.

Latest developments

The studio's online store is taking pre-orders for a hand-signed edition of Treasure Island, and the company states that further House of MinaLima locations are planned.
