Saleor

Saleor develops an open-source, API-only headless commerce platform built around a GraphQL API. The core product, Saleor Core, is a composable commerce backend that is interacted with, configured and extended exclusively through APIs rather than a monolithic plugin architecture. Its feature set covers product management and a rich catalog content model, orders (including split payments, multi-warehouse and returns), customers and order history, a promotion engine (sales, vouchers, cart rules, gift cards), payment orchestration across multiple gateways, cart, translations and multi-currency, multi-language and multi-warehouse operation with per-channel control of pricing, currencies, stock and products.

Around the core, Saleor maintains an open-source stack that includes a decoupled administration Dashboard with 45+ extension mount points, the "Paper" storefront foundation built as a production-ready checkout, cart and product detail page starting point, a "Configurator" CLI tool for defining channels, product types, shipping zones and tax rules in version-controlled YAML, a set of reference apps for payments, CMS, search and taxes, and open-source Agent Skills that provide commerce domain modeling, storefront, dashboard-extension and GraphQL API conventions to AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude and Codex. Extensibility is delivered through webhooks (160+ events), subscription queries, attributes, metadata, synchronous callbacks/delegation, dashboard iframes and OIDC integration with external identity providers, with OpenTelemetry-based observability. A reference storefront example is built with Next.js App Router, React, TypeScript, GraphQL and Tailwind CSS.

The company also markets agentic commerce capabilities, including an embeddable agentic chat component for storefronts, data enrichment for product intelligence, and support for the ACP and AP2 agentic commerce standards, offered through an early-access pilot for verified brands with an active ecommerce site.
