Protagonist-Psy Protocol

Psy Protocol is a Layer 1 blockchain built from first principles around three stated goals: internet-scale throughput, user-held privacy, and trust derived from cryptography rather than validator sets. Its architecture combines a component the project calls PARTH with a Proof of Useful Work consensus mechanism, which the project positions as enabling parallel processing of user transactions, capacity that grows with the user base, O(log n) block times, throughput described as millions of transactions per second, and fixed low fees rather than variable gas pricing.

Privacy is handled through local proving with zero-knowledge proofs: users generate proofs of their transactions on their own devices, so that only an encrypted state delta and a mathematical proof are transmitted to the network for privacy-critical applications. The protocol also implements what it terms Programmable Public Keys or Software-Defined Keys, in which an account identity is expressed as a programmable zero-knowledge circuit. This is intended to let users sign with any wallet or cryptographic scheme, support custom security policies and novel dApp logic, and allow autonomous AI agents to transact without a human custodian holding a private key. The project frames its security model as depending only on mathematics rather than validators, and claims the elimination of MEV and gas auctions.
