Technology

The AbReptor platform is an antibody-based targeted protein degradation technology that works by co-engaging a surface-receptor or extracellular protein of interest together with a second proprietary receptor target, triggering endocytosis, internalization and lysosomal degradation of the target protein. History

Established in 2019 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Pinetree built out its AbReptor antibody degrader platform and generated several preclinical programs in oncology and other therapeutic areas. In July 2024 it entered a collaboration with AstraZeneca that included an exclusive option and global license for its preclinical EGFR degrader candidate, and later the same month closed a $17 million Series A round co-led by STIC Investments and DSC Investment. A subsequent PR-newswire release from the company reports that AstraZeneca exercised its option to license the EGFR degrader program. In October 2025 the company closed an oversubscribed $47 million Series B financing intended to fund IND-enabling studies and Phase I trials for its lead programs.
