Origin (Origin Markets) operates a digital, front-to-back issuance platform for debt capital markets. The platform connects issuers, dealers and market infrastructure providers in order to digitise and automate the bond issuance process from origination through to settlement. For issuers, the stated aim is to lower the cost of funding by widening access to dealers and their investors globally and by automating issuance so that smaller, opportunistic deals can be executed when market conditions are favourable. For dealers, the platform offers access to a network of frequent borrowers with search and filtering by rating, yield and spread, together with documentation, transaction management and post-trade automation. For law firms, it supports automated drafting of and collaboration on transaction documents across private placements, taps and syndicated benchmark bonds. The product set comprises Origin Documentation (automated drafting and collaboration on documents for vanilla and structured notes, with data structured at point of execution to support listing and instant ISIN generation), Origin Structured Notes (an API-driven workflow spanning termsheet generation to post-trade operations), Origin Intelligence (an LLM-based structured data extraction tool for fixed income), and Origin Marketplace (a database covering more than 1,000 issuers with consolidated funding levels, advanced filtering, cross-currency pricing and graphical analysis). The Marketplace additionally provides dashboards and alerts for syndicate and MTN desks, DCM, sales and issuer funding teams, an embedded cross-currency pricer for automated runs, an Excel-API link for funding target contribution, anonymised statistics on dealer search activity, and features aimed at simplifying MAR compliance.
