Company profile

researched Aug 2026

OrderCast is a business-to-business ecommerce platform aimed at wholesalers and distributors that want to move order taking online. Its front office provides a customer-facing ordering experience with personalized catalogs, quick order entry, order history and search, while pricing and discount rules can be configured per customer, including rules based on purchase frequency and volume.

A back office component gives the wholesaler tools to run B2B operations, including monitoring and managing orders and stock levels across multiple sales channels and warehouses from one interface. The platform integrates with ERP systems for inventory synchronization and order management, and exposes an API. It is delivered as a web-based product with a free trial, supported by training documentation, live online training and videos, and online and live customer support. Feature coverage spans catalog management, inventory management, order entry, fulfilment, tracking, recurring orders, returns, shipping, back orders and multi-store management.

Founding story

Co-founder and CEO Ayoub Assabban grew up around his father's wholesale business, which expanded from selling zippers in open-air markets into a pan-European wholesale operation. After studying at Solvay Brussels School, launching a company that failed, and working at The Family, he joined the family business during the COVID-19 pandemic, working from a warehouse in Farciennes in Belgium's Charleroi region. There he found that roughly 80% of sales arrived by fax, email or phone and had to be transcribed by hand. He digitalized the company's internal processes and customer ordering experience, and subsequently left the family business to start OrderCast.

Business model

Software platform sold to wholesale businesses, offered as a web-based product with a free trial and integrations, including ERP connectivity and an API.

Latest developments

In June 2022 the company was reported to have raised about $3.19 million in a round led by Hoxton Ventures, with Kima Ventures, Verissimo Ventures, Start Capital and Justin Caldbeck also participating.
