OraLiva, Inc. is an AI precision diagnostics company that develops a non-invasive brush-biopsy test for oral cancer and dysplasia intended for use by dental providers. A soft brush collects transepithelial cells from a suspicious lesion during a routine exam, without scalpel or anesthesia; the sample is processed through the company's ONC In-Cyt platform, which combines a microfluidic cell-processing engine with deep-learning models trained on a dataset of more than 13 million cell images. Clinicians receive a digital report and a numerical risk score within days, supporting immediate patient counseling or referral to a specialist.

The company was founded out of the NYU School of Dentistry and the McDevitt Lab, and positions the product both as a currently available lab-developed test and as the basis for a regulated point-of-care device. Beyond oral cancer, OraLiva is applying transfer learning to extend its models to additional epithelial indications including anal, bladder and cervical cancers, funded in part by federal grants.
