Founding story

Nile was founded by Pankaj Patel, formerly of Cisco, with co-founders including Suresh Katukam and John T. Chambers, the former Cisco chairman and CEO. The founders had previously built and scaled technologies underpinning global Internet connectivity but viewed the operational complexity of those architectures as an unresolved source of risk and cost, and started Nile to pursue a clean-slate approach combining a zero trust network foundation, autonomous operations and cloud-delivered services.
