My Pet Hooligan

My Pet Hooligan is a multiplayer action title developed and published by AMGI Studios, an animation studio located in California. The game is set in Hooliland, a dystopian city controlled by "Zuck Corp," where players take the role of rabbit characters ("Hooligans") rebelling against the overlord MetaZuckBot. Built in Unreal Engine 5, it is presented as a third-person experience combining co-op missions, PvP modes, free-roam city exploration on dedicated servers, skateboarding, cartoon weaponry, character customization and cosmetic items. The Steam listing describes a 1-4 player co-op third-person shooter with roguelite elements in which players clear progressively harder zones before a final boss.

The project originated as a web3 property: My Pet Hooligan began as a collection of 8,888 3D rabbit-like NFT characters on Ethereum, with traits, factions and a storyline, tradable on OpenSea. Early design documents describe a play-to-earn loop in a desktop PvP game called "The Rabbit Hole," in which owners' NFTs serve as playable characters, earn an in-game currency called $KARROTS, can be staked, and grant access to FBX 3D files for animation. AMGI has also developed proprietary technology, including a system called Interloop intended to support interoperability across web3 environments, and an application called Immi for creating real-time animated characters.

The game launched free-to-play exclusively on the Epic Games Store in 2023 and is listed as coming soon to Steam Early Access, with AMGI targeting a full release in Q2 2026. In 2025 the franchise was named the flagship title for Studio Chain, an Arbitrum-based gaming and entertainment blockchain from the Karrat Foundation, with blockchain interactions handled outside console builds via a web portal; an Xbox release and further platforms were described as planned.

Founding story

Colin Brady, who worked as an animator at Pixar on titles including "Toy Story," "A Bug's Life" and "Toy Story 2" and later at Imagi, Lumenas, Lightchaser and Pixomondo, helped found AMGI Studios in 2019 and serves as chief creative officer. My Pet Hooligan is the studio's first IP and debut game title.

Business model

AMGI Studios develops and publishes My Pet Hooligan directly. The game has been distributed free-to-play through the Epic Games Store, with a Steam listing that includes in-app purchases; cosmetic items and customization are part of the offering. In August 2025 the Karrat Foundation announced a partnership with the Arbitrum Foundation to launch Studio Chain, with My Pet Hooligan as its flagship title, and plans for an Xbox release and further platform expansion. A Steam page lists the game as coming soon to Early Access, with a targeted Q2 2026 full release and a downloadable demo.
