MEL Science is an education company that sells a subscription combining physical science kits shipped monthly with digital learning experiences. Its catalogue spans more than 100 hands-on kits across STEM (ages 5+), Math (8+), Physics (8+), Chemistry (10+) and Medicine (14+), and more than 50 digital experiences. Kits ship with the materials and instruments needed to run experiments at home; the chemistry line is positioned as a first home chemistry lab, and the medicine line (MEL Med) includes professional tools for exercises in surgery, dentistry and pharmacy.

The digital layer consists of the MEL Science app, which provides interactive step-by-step video guides and quizzes; MEL VR, a library of over 70 immersive chemistry and physics lessons that can also run in 2D mode and is bundled with a headset in most subscriptions; and MEL AR, which renders scientific models in the user's environment. For educators and homeschoolers the company sells bundles, individual sets and subscriptions accompanied by NGSS-aligned lesson plans, curriculum templates, worksheets and recorded webinars, and it operates a separate schools storefront and schools contact channel.

The company states that its kits are tested in laboratories and certified for home use, complying with US Consumer Product Safety Commission requirements for educational sets and, for chemistry kits, with the European Committee for Standardization's EN 71-4 list of substances permitted in children's chemistry sets; it states that no kits contain explosives.
