Luma

Luma, operated by Luma Labs, Inc., is a consumer and organizer-facing events platform available on the web at lu.ma and luma.com and as a mobile app. Hosts can create an event page in a few steps by choosing a cover image, name, location and time, with a gallery of pre-made cover designs (party posters, bbq invites, happy hour photos and others) available. The platform then handles registrations, reminders, ticketing and check-in.

Organizer features include email and SMS invitations (including contact syncing for mass SMS invites and re-inviting past guests), guest chat, ticket sales with bank-account connection and next-day payouts, a built-in QR-code scanner and name/email lookup for check-in, and co-hosts who can help manage the event and check guests in. Attendees can use an in-app ticket or a Google Wallet pass for entry.

On the discovery side, Luma offers a curated "Discover" feed of nearby upcoming events spanning tech, crypto, wellness and social categories, and lets users subscribe to local calendars such as running clubs and AI event calendars. The Discover feed is curated, so not all host-created events appear in it. Recent app updates have added a refreshed event map, refund-policy display and ticket sale start times on event pages.
