Logmore

Logmore is a Finnish condition-monitoring company that combines QR data loggers, cloud software and an optional API layer into a platform for documenting what happens to sensitive shipments. The loggers travel with pallets, parcels, insulated boxes, totes and containers and record temperature, humidity, shock and light events (earlier descriptions also list tilt). Readings are written into a dynamic e-ink QR code displayed on the logger's screen; a receiver scans the code with a standard phone camera or barcode reader, which uploads the trip record to Logmore Cloud without an app, account, login, cable or USB reader. Because the devices are small and use coin-cell batteries, the company states they are suitable for all transport modes, including air, without dangerous-goods (DGR) labeling.

Logmore Cloud converts uploaded scans into shipment reports, condition history, dashboards by lane, carrier and exception, alerts, certificates and audit trails. An optional REST API connects the data to WMS, TMS, ERP, control-tower, visibility and quality systems, allowing missions to be created from operational systems and reports or exception data to be pulled automatically. The company offers both reusable loggers (battery life stated up to four years) and a single-use model, Logger 1, and a Dry Ice logger for ultra-cold shipments.

The company positions its products for regulated and quality-sensitive supply chains, citing an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system, support for FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GDP and GMP Annex 11 expectations, individual calibration certificates per logger, CE, FCC and UKCA conformity, EU manufacturing and EU data residency.

Founding story

The concept originated from a field observation while chopping firewood: co-founder Antti Tapio conceived of using QR codes to dynamically track changing shipment conditions and brought the idea to Janne Juhala and Niko Polvinen, who together built it into a QR-native condition monitoring product.

Latest developments

In 2023 Logmore added a second contract manufacturing partner to scale logger production and moved its Generation 2 product into production; it also introduced Logger 1, a single-use data logger. The current product line is organized as a three-layer platform of QR data loggers, Logmore Cloud and an optional API.
