IoTeX

IoTeX operates an open blockchain ecosystem aimed at "real-world AI": turning data generated by physical machine networks and decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePIN) into inputs for AI models and applications. Its core stack includes an EVM-compatible Layer-1 blockchain described as offering 1000 TPS with instant one-block finality, ioID (a decentralized identity framework giving machines, devices and agents verifiable identities and supporting on-chain and off-chain identity management via DIDs), QuickSilver (a real-time AI interaction layer that converts raw device signals into verifiable AI context and connects large language models with DePIN data), W3bstream (a real-time data attestation and compute layer linking smart devices to smart contracts), and DIMs, a set of modular DePIN infrastructure modules covering attestation, identity, staking and coordination. The company also presents Trio, a multimodal foundational model intended to understand and operate the physical world, and IOTX, the native utility token used for governance, incentives and interoperability.

The platform targets builders across mobility, robotics, energy and health, offering paths to design "realms" or custom machine-intelligence economies, contribute device data, and stake. IoTeX also publishes DePINscan, an ecosystem tracker for DePIN projects and devices, and runs content programs including the R3al Talk podcast and quarterly ecosystem briefs.

The project was founded at the end of 2017 by three co-founders — Raullen Chai (CEO, previously head of Uber's crypto research group and a tech lead at Google), Jing, and Qevan (previously at Facebook) — with the initial goal of building an IoT blockchain and, more broadly, an interface between cryptocurrency and the physical world.
