Investor Connect

Investor Connect is an invite-only pilot program operated by HubSpot for Startups that introduces member startups to venture capital investors. Participating founders build a detailed profile covering their company, achievements to date and future growth plans, which is then made visible to the investors taking part in the pilot. HubSpot describes its own role as that of a startup scout, with its globally distributed HubSpot for Startups team highlighting founder profiles to participating investors. Profiles are visible only to participating investors and not to other startups.

The program is delivered in partnership with Vestbee, which supplies the platform on which participating startup profiles are hosted. Eligibility is restricted to HubSpot for Startups members that were founded less than ten years ago, are post-product with early revenue or early traction through to mature-scaling stage, and are actively preparing to raise — specifically, holding a pitch deck and intending to fundraise within the following three to six months. Minimum required profile fields include company name, sector, country and pitch deck, while annual revenue, MRR and a video pitch are optional. Alongside investor visibility, participants are offered exclusive events and access to fundraising content and offers. HubSpot reserves the right to remove a profile from Vestbee and from the pilot. The first phase of the pilot has closed, with a waitlist collecting interest for a revamped version of the program.

Business model

The program is offered as a benefit within the free HubSpot for Startups membership, with participation extended on an invite-only basis; startups sign up to the HubSpot for Startups program at no purchase requirement and then opt in to Investor Connect via a form.

Latest developments

The first phase of the pilot has concluded and a waitlist form is open for a revamped version of the program; exclusive events for participants were planned as part of the pilot in 2024.
