Founding story

Hyve was founded in 2025 by Kara La Forgia. Prior to the fund, La Forgia worked as an NFL sports agent before moving into startup operations, serving as the first employee at the consumer brands FUR and Donni. In 2016 she launched a boutique business development firm, working as a fractional chief revenue officer for companies across skincare, haircare, color cosmetics and supplements, and began deploying her own capital as an angel investor before establishing the fund.
