Gatik is a Silicon Valley-based developer of self-driving delivery trucks focused on middle-mile freight: short, repeatable routes between distribution centers and retail stores. Its trucks operate driverless on public roads, with 26,000-pound class box trucks running daily routes for major retailers, grocery chains and food and beverage suppliers.

As of 2026 the company reported driverless operations across Texas, Arkansas and Arizona, and describes driverless freight networks running daily in both the United States and Canada. Its public site publishes near-real-time operational data on individual trucks, including start and end times, driving time and trip status, refreshed every three hours.

Business model

Gatik contracts with retailers, grocers and consumer goods companies to run recurring middle-mile delivery routes with its autonomous trucks, positioning the service around increasing delivery frequency and lowering distribution costs.

Traction

Gatik reported more than $600 million in contracted revenue as of January 2026 and driverless trucks running daily routes in Texas, Arkansas and Arizona. CEO Gautam Narang said operations would scale from fewer than a dozen driverless units to hundreds of box trucks by the end of the year. In June 2026 the company signed a multi-year agreement with PepsiCo.

In August 2026 Gatik announced a $200 million Series D led by the Qatar Investment Authority. In June 2026 it announced a multi-year PepsiCo deployment, and the Wall Street Journal reported its driverless trucks hauling Frito-Lay products from a distribution center to a Walmart store about four miles away.
