Fusion Genomics develops the ONETest targeted metagenomics platform for use by accredited hospital laboratories. Rather than a narrow PCR panel or short-amplicon assay, ONETest applies probe-based core-genome capture — marketed as QuantumProbes — to enrich the genomic signal of targeted microorganisms while retaining a representative picture of the surrounding microbial community. The offering is structured around four integrated layers that Fusion Genomics controls: QuantumProbes enrichment; walk-away liquid-handling automation intended to reduce manual steps and improve reproducibility; UniPrep, which converts captured DNA into sequencing-ready libraries on standard sequencing infrastructure; and FusionCloud (also referred to as Fusion AI), an interpretation layer that applies control-aware and background-aware filtering, organism-specific dynamic machine-learning cut-offs calibrated per laboratory-developed test implementation, and multi-parameter evidence to qualify, categorize and rank microbial findings, including antimicrobial-resistance marker context.

The company frames its target problem as the critical-care diagnostic gap in which culture is slow and can be insensitive after antibiotic exposure, PCR is fast but narrow, and untargeted metagenomics is broad but constrained by cost and workflow complexity.
