History

The company was founded in November 2017 and spent its first period in stealth. In 2023 it added AI meeting notetaking and an AI Copilot, repositioning from a meeting-agenda tool toward an AI meeting assistant. In 2025 the company moved its brand from Fellow.app to Fellow.ai. The company competes against numerous AI notetakers, and several of its strongest claims ("only AI meeting assistant built from the ground up with privacy and security in mind") are self-reported.
