History

After launching from its Camba.tv cloud CCTV origins, Evercam was accepted into Telefónica's Wayra accelerator in 2013 and took backing from Enterprise Ireland and private investors; it secured a €500,000 round in early 2014 to build out its camera management platform. In April 2015 the company published its source code under the AGPL licence. By the mid-2010s the platform had narrowed its focus to construction and industrial projects, supplying time-lapse and monitoring cameras to large building sites, having earlier been applied to security and supply chain monitoring use cases. In 2020 Evercam raised €600,000 from investors including DBIC Ventures, Elkstone Ventures and Enterprise Ireland, at which point it operated in Ireland, the UK, Australia, the United States, Pakistan, Algeria, Poland and Canada. Funding from Bentley tied to expanded digital twin capability was reported in March 2022, followed in October 2022 by an €8.9 million Series A led by Knocknagore Capital for global expansion.
