Driver, operated by Driver Technologies Inc., provides automotive software and cloud services for connected vehicles. Its mobile app turns a smartphone into a dash cam and trip log, automatically recording drives (road and cabin on supported dual-camera devices), logging duration, distance, speed and location, and backing footage up to the Driver Cloud so recordings do not consume device storage. Trips can be reviewed or shared from any browser or device via a trip URL, for example with insurers, employers or family.

The product also runs on Android Auto and Android Automotive. On vehicles with Google built-in, Driver captures trips together with vehicle data such as speed, mileage, engine state, tire state, power and G-force, and uploads them to the cloud. Additional in-vehicle benefits listed include roadside assistance, realtime legal support, claims support and repair shop discovery. A Driver Rewards program, limited by location and membership, lets eligible trips earn points redeemable for gift cards, deposits or merchandise.

Alongside the software, Driver sells hardware accessories, including the Driver Cooler, a thermoelectric phone cooler with twin 7-blade fans running at 6,500 rpm that the company says reduces phone temperature by up to 50°F on hot dashboards. The company positions the app as usable with any existing phone mount rather than requiring proprietary hardware.
