OpenTelemetry-native architecture from the outset rather than retrofitted OTel support, with no proprietary agents or storage formats, data export at any time, and Perses/Grafana dashboard portability to avoid vendor lock-in. Telemetry-volume-based pricing without user or GB charges, keyboard-driven UX, configuration-as-code, and a single signal store queried identically by humans and AI agents. Technology

Built from the ground up on OpenTelemetry, PromQL and Perses, with no proprietary agents or data formats. SignalStore is the underlying OpenTelemetry-native data platform storing logs, metrics, traces, profiles, events and RUM data, accessible via PromQL, SQL, CLI, API and an MCP server so that AI agents and humans query the same store. Additional components include the open-source Dash0 Kubernetes operator (which uses OpenTelemetry SDKs and the OTel Collector for automatic instrumentation and semantic conventions), a Terraform provider, a web SDK for frontend telemetry, a CLI, agent skills for coding agents, and OtelBin for editing and validating Collector configurations. The SIFT framework (Spam filter, Ingest, Filter, Triage) underpins signal noise reduction and root-cause surfacing, and continuous profiling including GPU and CUDA insight was added through the Polar Signals acquisition.

Product-led entry via a free trial and self-service start, including a built-in OpenTelemetry demo application requiring no setup, combined with book-a-demo enterprise sales. Developer marketing runs through extensive technical content on OpenTelemetry, open-source tooling (Dash0 operator, OtelBin, Terraform provider), pre-built integrations, dashboards and alert templates, marketplace distribution such as the Vercel Marketplace integration, and campaigns such as the "Kill the Bill" $10,000 challenge to halve observability costs. Series B proceeds are earmarked for go-to-market expansion focused primarily on the US market.

History

After its 2023 founding, Dash0 released a public beta in September 2024 and launched generally in October 2024, announcing a $9.5M seed round led by Accel in November 2024. In March 2025 it introduced the SIFT framework (Spam filter, Ingest, Filter, Triage) along with triage, spam filtering and advanced filtering capabilities, followed by website monitoring in August 2025 and synthetic monitoring the same month. A $35M Series A co-led by Accel and Cherry Ventures with DIG Ventures was announced on 2 October 2025, at which point the company reported more than 270 customers. Agent0, its agentic AI platform, was introduced in November 2025 and reached general availability in June 2026. Dash0 acquired Lumigo in February 2026 to extend agentic observability across AWS and serverless, raised a $110M Series B at a $1B valuation in March 2026, announced the Darkplane AI coding insights line in July 2026, and acquired continuous-profiling company Polar Signals in August 2026.

Dash0 competes directly with substantially larger incumbent observability vendors including Datadog, Dynatrace and Grafana, and its Series B plan depends on rapid US go-to-market expansion and on integrating targeted acquisitions in LLM/agent observability, AI SRE and AI-focused security. Several announced capabilities — AutoMerge, Context Graph, AutoTune and SignalControl — are not yet generally available.
