Beyond search, the company markets an AI-assisted car buying experience: users can either have a CoPilot AI agent handle the purchase process or follow the company's guidance themselves, with the stated aim of avoiding overpaying and common dealership tactics.

At its 2020 public launch, the company positioned itself more broadly as an "assisted commerce" platform for high-consideration purchases, beginning with the U.S. car market, which it sized at $1.2 trillion. The app was described as covering four stages of the purchase journey — discovery, search, purchase and ownership — including guidance on maintenance, repairs and recalls, with an initial focus on nearly new off-lease vehicles and new cars. At that time the service combined the data platform with human "copilots" providing advice alongside the app. The company has since repositioned the shopping experience as AI-powered end to end, describing it as the car market's first comprehensive AI-assisted car shopping experience. The consumer app is free with no paid subscription. Revenue comes from being paid when members make car-related purchases through partners — insurance, loans or warranties — with the company saying it leverages the aggregate buying power of its user community to obtain member pricing. Insurance was cited at launch as the initial monetization focus.
