Castle

Castle is a mobile platform for making, playing and sharing games. Users create games, animations and drawings — organized in the product as "decks" — inside an in-app editor with tools for art, physics, logic, music and sound, then post them publicly or to friends. Creation can start from templates or by remixing existing posts, and creators can draw on a library of shared game objects. The catalog is browsed through genre and topic feeds including Daily, Platformer, Strategy, Narrative, Arcade, Action, Puzzle, and hashtag/theme collections such as Golf and FNF.

Alongside creation, Castle functions as a social network around user-generated games: viewers can comment, follow creators, compete for high scores and collect achievements. The app is published for iOS and Android by Monterey's Coast, Inc., and the company also runs a Discord community, a separate product or property referred to as Dweller, and a documentation site (docs.castle.xyz) with tutorials, a Castle Academy video series, an introduction to scripting, and reference material for expressions, triggers, responses, conditions, variables, behaviors, tags, multiplayer functionality and a Lua scripting module.
