Founding story

The company was founded by former Boston Consulting Group and Talabat executives Onur Elgun, Mustafa Bosca and Muhammed Yildirim. Elgun spent nearly nine years at BCG working on social impact and net-zero strategy in the Middle East before joining Talabat in 2019 as chief strategy officer, where uptake of options such as 'no cutlery' signalled consumer demand for sustainability choices. The founders' view was that businesses and consumers were willing to act on climate but lacked practical tools, which led them to build technology that embeds measurement and offsetting into existing products and transactions.
