Boxtree

Boxtree, Inc. is a mixed-reality gaming company whose main product is Table Space, a tabletop sandbox for XR in which players create and play tabletop worlds together remotely, with the aim of reproducing the feel of sharing a physical table. The company also operates Boxtree Builder, a web application that lets established board game creators and hobbyists assemble playable XR tabletop game modes visually, without coding, and then share and play them with friends on Meta Quest and Apple Vision Pro headsets.

Boxtree Builder includes sample projects such as playing cards, Euchre, checkers and chess that users can remix into custom game modes, tools for saving and managing trading card game decklists for quick access inside Table Space, and community galleries for custom games, TCG decklists and VRM avatars. A paid Boxtree Builder Pro license adds unlimited custom games and TCG decklists, private game rooms, generative 3D tokens, card images and custom skyboxes. Table Space is also distributed as a mobile application.

Founding story

Braulio Chavez and Ethan Sherbondy started Boxtree in 2024 to apply mixed reality to tabletop gaming.

Boxtree distributes Table Space as an application for XR headsets and mobile, with an associated web-based Boxtree Builder that is free to use at a basic tier and offers a paid Boxtree Builder Pro license unlocking advanced creation features such as unlimited custom games and decklists, private game rooms and generative 3D assets.

Subscription/license upgrade to Boxtree Builder Pro for advanced creation features, alongside free basic access to the Builder and Table Space.
