Aurora Insight was a Colorado-based wireless data company that measured and mapped the radio frequency spectrum on a global basis. Founding story

Aurora Insight was founded in Denver in 2016 by Jennifer Alvarez, Brian Mengwasser and Gus Moore. The three co-founders had spent the prior decade designing and building airborne platforms, sensor systems and satellites for communications, engineering successive generations of communications systems that depend on radio spectrum. Mengwasser's background spanned energy, satellites and telecommunications; Alvarez had more than 25 years of experience in technology development and system deployment for aerospace and government applications; and Moore had roughly 15 years of experience developing space and airborne sensor systems across remote sensing domains.
