History

ASICLAND was incorporated in 2016, the same year it obtained venture certification from the Korea Technology Finance Corporation and signed a cooperation agreement with Kwangwoon University's industry-academic foundation. In 2017 it registered a corporate R&D institute, joined the semiconductor industry association, entered an ASIC design service/IP business agreement with GUC, and began 12nm design service. It was designated an Arm Approved Design Partner in 2018 and signed a TSMC VCA agreement in 2019, the year it also completed and began mass production of a high-band 5G RF chip. In 2020 it developed what it describes as Korea's first AI semiconductor. The company listed on the KOSDAQ market of the Korea Exchange in 2023 and changed its corporate identity that year. In 2024 it absorbed subsidiaries Wizmind and Top ASIC, moved to a new headquarters building, was selected as an Arm Total Design program partner, established a Taiwan subsidiary/R&D center, won Arm Design Partner of the Year 2023 and obtained an industry-first PMS data quality certification. In 2025 it opened a Gwangju office, received a Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy commendation at the 18th Semiconductor Day, and entered cooperation on domestic AI semiconductor demonstration and commercialization.
