Asepha is a Toronto-founded company that develops an AI agent platform for pharmacy operations. Its stated aim is to remove analog administrative work from pharmacy staff so pharmacists can spend more time on clinical services; the company cites industry conditions in which roughly 70% of pharmacies are understaffed and pharmacists spend up to 90% of their time on administrative tasks.

The product set is modular and spans data entry automation (extraction and patient/prescriber/NDC matching from eScripts, faxes, scanned paper, emailed PDFs and portal orders), inbound and outbound call and SMS automation, a questionnaire builder, benefits investigation, prior authorization submission and follow-up, reporting and analytics, workflow building, shipment and delivery, compliance management, provider and patient portals, compounding, booking and clinical services, and 340B management. The company positions the platform as a consolidation of the five to thirteen separate software subscriptions it says pharmacies typically run, with the agent layer performing work inside the system of record rather than only recording it.

Asepha keeps a pharmacist in the loop: clinical verification remains a pharmacist step, uncertain or clinical questions are routed to a pharmacist with context, and all actions are logged with exportable audit trails. The company states SOC 2 Type 2 certification and HIPAA compliance, with AES-256 encryption at rest and in transit, role-based access control, retention settings and patient data export workflows.
