Arbor Insight

Arbor Insight operates a cloud-based drone mapping and analytics platform aimed at professional land managers. Customers fly missions with RTK/PPK-capable drones they already own — the company states compatibility with DJI and most commercially available platforms and requires no proprietary hardware — and upload raw multispectral imagery to the Arbor Insight portal. Processing, including orthomosaic generation, spectral index calculation and map rendering, is performed automatically in the cloud, so no GIS software or specialist training is required of the user. Outputs are accessible from the web portal on any device, and priority-queue customers are offered a guaranteed 24-hour turnaround.

The platform describes six core capabilities: centimeter-accurate mapping (sub-10cm orthomosaics, DSM/DTM and automated individual tree and object detection); crop health and stress analysis (NDVI/NDRE, water stress indices, erosion risk zones, soil uniformity layers); microclimate mapping (temperature gradients, solar radiation patterns and humidity variance at row-segment level derived from spectral and thermal data); change detection with before/after, delta and season-over-season comparisons; a "Living Land Registry" that builds a queryable database of individual trees, rows, parcels and zones with accumulated history per asset; and a "Terrain Digital Imprint" capturing point-in-time elevation, texture, drainage and spectral signatures for later comparison. Sample outputs shown include per-tree NDVI vigor maps, a tree health dashboard with CWSI water stress, crown radius and canopy area time series, and rendered orthophotos with tree-crown detections.

Stated application areas extend beyond orchards to vineyards, open fields, meadows, golf courses, sports turf, managed meadows and mountain slopes, solar farms and infrastructure corridors, forestry and carbon (tree density, biomass estimation, canopy cover, long-term change detection for carbon credit verification), and custom use cases such as research plots and archaeological sites.
