Anvilogic AI SOC Platform

Anvilogic develops a security operations platform that decouples security analytics from the underlying logging platform, an approach the company describes as a multi-data platform SIEM. Rather than requiring enterprises to replace an incumbent SIEM, the platform layers detection, threat hunting and investigation workflows on top of whichever data stores a customer already uses, including traditional SIEMs such as Splunk and Azure, and cloud data lakes on Snowflake, AWS, Azure and GCP. The company positions this as a response to ingest-based SIEM licensing costs, which it says lead many organizations to send less than half of their security-relevant data to the SIEM, leaving "dark data" unavailable for threat detection.

The platform includes a modular detection engine, thousands of curated threat scenarios and pre-built rules, log source classifiers, detection recommendations and query code generation across SQL, SPL and KQL. In March 2023 Anvilogic released what it describes as the first detection engineering copilot, followed in April 2024 by a second-generation assistant, Monte Copilot, extending generative AI to threat hunting and alert investigation. The company later repositioned around "Agentic Security Operations," combining AI agents, an AI operating system and reusable "Blueprints" to automate repeatable SOC workflows while retaining analyst oversight through governed approvals and transparent reasoning. Anvilogic 8.0 is generally available.

Founding story

Anvilogic was founded in 2019 by Karthik Kannan (CEO) and Deb Banerjee (CTO). Kannan previously led Splunk's security analytics business following Splunk's acquisition of his prior company, Caspida, and was earlier involved with Cetas, an analytics company acquired by VMware; he describes roughly 15 years in big data, analytics and cybersecurity startups before Anvilogic. Banerjee had been VP and chief architect at Proofpoint and Symantec, with an engineering background that began in computational fluid dynamics before moving to business systems. The two had met repeatedly at earlier employers and had run ten marathons together, which they cite as the basis of their working trust; Kannan recruited Banerjee over a series of breakfast meetings. Their stated founding thesis was to break apart the monolithic SIEM stack into separate content, automation and data repository layers, and to exploit ongoing technology transitions in cloud data warehouses and business analytics to lower the barrier to entry for detection engineering and threat hunting skills.

Traction

Anvilogic reported quadrupling growth since its 2022 Series B, dozens of enterprise customers with about one-third in the Fortune 500, and named references including SAP's CISO for Enterprise Cloud Services. It cites customer cost reductions of over 80% per terabyte when using Snowflake versus traditional SIEM ingest. The company lists awards including inclusion in Fortune's Top 50 in Cybersecurity of 2025, Snowflake's 2024 Cybersecurity Partner of the Year, Forbes' 2024 America's Best Startup Employers, and multiple 2021-2023 industry awards.
