AMGI Studios

AMGI Studios is an independent animation technology and gaming studio positioned at the intersection of AI technology, gaming and storytelling. Its character-driven AI work uses natural language and vision processing together with emotional intelligence so that AI characters can interpret and respond to user input and human emotion in dynamic, personalized interactions. The studio also builds on real-time animation workflows, which it says allow it to produce high-quality animated content at reduced production time and cost, and it employs a team of game developers and storytellers to build games around its intellectual property.

AMGI's stated product portfolio includes a Web3-enabled social shooter game described as the studio's flagship IP, a real-time AI-driven animated chat companion app, and a platform for premium DAO management and governance. Reported projects include the NFT project My Pet Hooligan, the mobile app Immi, which lets users create real-time animated characters, and The Rabbit Hole, an action-adventure open-world game characterized in press coverage as a mixture of Grand Theft Auto and Zootopia. These sit within Interloop, an Unreal Engine 5 metaverse architecture AMGI is building as connective infrastructure intended to let other projects, IP owners and creators build interoperable assets, characters and experiences on top of it.

The creative team has been described as including artists and animators previously at Pixar, Disney and Industrial Light & Magic.

Launched the Immi mobile app, which press coverage reported had celebrity investors including Mark Cuban, Tony Robbins, Pitbull and Paris Hilton, and released the My Pet Hooligan NFT project while developing The Rabbit Hole and the Interloop architecture.

Latest developments

In July 2022 AMGI announced funding from Yield Guild Games, Bitkraft Ventures and Delphi Digital, with all three investors also taking advisory roles as the studio built out gameplay, in-game ecosystems and in-game social structures; the amount was not disclosed. The company's site, dated 2024, presents a Web3-enabled social shooter as its flagship IP alongside an AI chat companion app and a DAO management platform.
