Alitu

Alitu is a browser-based podcast production platform that combines recording, automated audio processing, editing, publishing and hosting in a single workflow. Users can record audio and video calls inside Alitu or upload files in any format from a phone, computer or conferencing tool such as Zoom; uploads are converted into a single common format for reuse. Once media is added, the platform automatically removes background noise, evens out volume and processes voices, so users do not need to configure audio engineering settings themselves.

Editing is transcript-based: recordings can be searched and edited like a document, with tools to remove filler words such as "uhm", playback and editing at 2x speed, and the ability to undo edits even after an episode has been published. AI transcription converts audio into text for show notes or written content, and a text editor is provided for show notes including social links and further-reading sections.

Alitu added podcast hosting as a feature in October 2022. Hosting includes a podcast website listing episodes and social accounts, listener analytics (audience size, geography and listening apps) and episode scheduling. Episodes can be published to Apple Podcasts and Spotify with one click, or pushed to a user's existing third-party hosting account.

Business model

Subscription software sold directly to individual podcast creators, with podcast hosting bundled into the product. A free hosting tier is offered up to 1,000 downloads per month, and paid hosting is priced at $10 for up to 10,000 downloads per month.
