Actiondesk was a cloud-based spreadsheet application that connected directly to live data sources, allowing users to access and join data from across their cloud stack in one place. The product connected to databases and other services automatically, which removed the need for CSV exports that go stale as soon as they are generated. Once data was loaded, users could apply familiar spreadsheet operations such as lookups and pivot tables using the same syntax and methods found in other spreadsheet applications.

The company positioned the product as being as easy and flexible as a spreadsheet while offering the analytical power of a business intelligence tool. Actiondesk participated in Y Combinator's Summer 2019 batch and reported a team size of 4. In November 2023 the company was acquired by Datadog, which described the deal as a step toward letting more teams within an organization extract value from telemetry data by exposing it through common spreadsheet syntax.
