Valentin Sulzer holds a PhD in mathematics from Oxford and completed four years of engineering research at the University of Michigan and Carnegie Mellon. He developed PyBaMM, an open-source battery simulation software, and is now building Ionworks to make such tools more widely available to battery engineers.
