Sunit Shah spent six years developing pricing models for life insurance starting in 2005, then worked at Pine River Capital building a property and casualty insurance operation. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Virginia and has published research on behavioral finance and principal-agent problems; he has also worked at the Boston Consulting Group and taught at UVA.
