Karthik Balakrishnan holds a PhD in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford. He co-founded Coin through Y Combinator's W13 cohort, which was later acquired by Fitbit, and subsequently founded Airbus UTM to develop air traffic control infrastructure for unmanned aircraft systems.
